Help Strange Issues

Hi all, my first post on this wonder site.

I have a Galaxy S3 (unrooted) and my carrier is AT&T. It also does this on my Galaxy Tab 2 as well.

ISSUE:

Today I needed to take my Mac to the local Apple store and I tried to set an appointment up on my phone (S3). When I entered my e-mail address and user name, I kept getting a message stating that my e-mail was incorrect or I was using characters that were not allowed.

I tried today to set up a new account on my phone to purchase some icons from a developer on his site and got the same response. "Your email is incorrect."

Basically, any website that needs an email or password rejects me with the same response. Strange indeedy...

Any ideas to what is going on?

My personal e-mail accounts work fine on my devices, so it must (maybe) be a setting issue in the device?

Thanks in advance!

As suggested, the keyboard may not be playing nice with the email app/widget. You may want to try changing to another one (Smart Keyboard Pro has always been great on my devices, no issues).

But I'd also suspect the domain is being tossed by recipients as a spam domain, if you're not using Google's Gmail or Yahoo, MSN, etc. I got that on my old mail.com address a while back, and after a few tries it just went through.

You might also try clearing cache and data on what email utility you are using, reboot and reconfigure the app. Then test for that rejection you've been getting.

lol. No mate I already knew what it meant. But I always look up words I don't know. That's how I already knew what hiatus meant :)

Wow! I guess it was my keyboard. Switched from Swiftkey back to Samsung keyboard and everything worked fine.

Does this mean that Swiftkey will do this all of the time or is it savable?

Anyway, thank you!:)

What you can do is copy your address to clipboard and lock it. This way you can always paste it in instead of relying on SK to get it right.
