Help Strange problems with S2

tcr6v1

Lurker
Hey guys, I've been have some problems with my Galaxy S2 (GT-i9100M) on Virgin Mobile (Canada)

I've had the phone since August and now these problems are arising.

The problems:

-When taking a picture the phone freezes up and goes unresponsive for a couple minute then the camera app crashes to the home screen. The phone then is EXTREMELY slow and EXTREMELY hot and needs to be rebooted. Sometimes when rebooting the lights on the menu and back key will stay lit for ever and I need to take out the battery. When I turn it back on the battery has plummeted (Say it was at 75%, now its at 30%) When I go to view said picture it's gone.

-Same thing happens when taking a video

-The default music app will sometime make the phone reset when I adjust the volume when the phone is lock. When I resume playback it plays through the rear speakers instead of my headphones.

-Random freezing and slowdowns

-Sometimes when updating multiply apps at a time (The update all button) and then try to go to the home screen it will freeze completely.

Other info:

-Galaxy S2 GT-i9100M Virgin Mobile
-Baseband version I9100MUGKG2
-Not rooted

Should I return it? Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone experienced any of these?

Thanks in advance

I don't know of any single cause that can make your phone to give you so much problems, so off hand if you can repeat the errors, bring it back for a replacement.

If you don't mind losing apps and settings, you could try a factory reset to check if its a problem with a downloaded app or some settings issue, but I can't believe an app that causes such issue would not get commented in Google Play.

Good luck
