Strange screen appearing when changing between programs and closing programs

I just removed advance task killer and a few other apps that were slowing me down. now, when i hit the back button to go to the home screen the screen turns black with the HTC text like it does at boot up. This happens EVERY time I leave an application. I am rooted at the moment though I have not done anything else other than that. Should I reset this to factory specs? Also the headset jack is not detecting earphones which it was up until today.

My phone is not rooted and I saw the same black screen with the HTC logo too. Today was the first time this has ever happened to me.

Have you tried rebooting your phone? That happened to me before I rooted as well. The fix i found was restarting my phone and it never happened again. I think it has to do with too much RAM being used.

Did a hard reset, configured it to save the battery, my problem is fine now.
no more killing programs....
