Help Strange Touch Screen Issue

Hi All,

I'm having a bit of a strange problem at the moment whereby the main section of the screen randomly becomes unresponsive until I restart the tablet

It's the GT-N8010 version running all the latest versions (4.2.1) and unrooted.

There doesn't seem to be a trigger for it but every so often anything above the notification bar stops responding to my touch.

I am able to pull up the multiview bar and interact with the back, home, recent apps, hotkey and open up and use the notification bar popup as normal. But any apps on the main section of the screen are unresponsive (including the homescreens). I am also able to open up multiview apps (e.g. the calculator) and close them again using the back button. Also when i hold the power button to bring up the shutdown menu I am able to select restart tablet and confirm this.

Anyone got any idea how I can fix this as it's a pain, but I don't really want to reset it all as I don't have proper internet to download app the apps and data again.

I confirm it happens to N8000 as well.
Notification panel was not responding to touch. Weird part is, I just registered myself for responding to this post, then a Gmail notification arrived. Then I tried touching panel and it is working again.
