Root strange!!!

trying to install android rev 6.1.5...
says to reboot using vol down, plus power.
this is now not working.
should i uninstall rom manager?
or is this something else??

and the files are on sd card!

have you rebooted into clockworkmod and backed up? Do that and then flash the new rom from there!

I don't think you can install AR from ROM Manager, you will have to do it manually from Recovery. Remeber to use the Super Wipe script (I think that's the name) before you flash, as per AR instructions.

And I wouldn't uninstall ROm Manager

hi.
that's what i'm trying.
not using rom manager.
turn off phone.
hold down volume button and turn phone on.
just goes straight into normal loading sequence.
this is what's confusing me

Perhaps you have fastboot enabled. That prevents the phone from actually shutting down when you tell it to turn off, so you can't get to recovery that way.

Try going to ROM manager and hitting the 'Reboot into recovery' option.
