Root Streaming slow

I don't know what it is, but my phone never will stream YouTube, or Pandora at a normal speed with full 3g service. I've tried on different Rome including synergy, cm7 and now I'm on mik 2.55. It seemed to be a little better at one point today, but I was just in a full service area with 3g and it took almost 10 min just to play one song on YouTube. Has anyone else experienced this. I'm starting to feel like I am cursed with every phone I get where this happens.

I just went to check the proxy settings, and they were already changed to 0 and 0.0.0.0.

I'm only getting around .3-.6 Mbps upload speeds at my house with the SpeedTest.net app
