Help Streaming through BT

ZOSO

Newbie
Hi my I7500 is running firmware 1.5
is it possible to stream music through BT to a PC (WIN 7) speakers like Ipod touch?

my pc is only recognizing my device but no music is playing

i know that the BT in the Galaxy suppose to be only for handset

hmmm... dont know why you say we cant if i know we can. as i did it myself. just the range is quite short but the quality almost the same as connected via 3.5mm jack to my hi-fi speakers :)
so you need to pair your galaxy with your laptop first and then in bluetooth device options choose Galaxy and go to its options and there should be option (listen to audio through your phone (Galaxy) to computer speakers or something like that) (BTW i dont know about other version of windows but its running perfectly on Windows 7)
just done made my screan capture:

no its 1.5 cupcake. yep hold your finger on where it says paired but no connected then menue will pop up and go to option and there put a tick on connect. but for me even if it says paired but not connected still on my pc if i press button connect (option to play music) it will play anyway and it gives media player straight away. so try. but one thing for sure we dont need 2.0 to stream music trough pc, however, i think we would need 2.0 for me to be able to steam music through my WEP-500 bluetooth headset. as i know it does stream on my nokia n73 but doesnt on galaxy :)

i'v done that but it doesnt let me to connect for some reason it steal shows "paired but not connected"

You can stream BT music through Galaxy on 1.5. I think the problem is PC side not Galaxy side. I have a Pioneer sound system in my car and it streams BT just fine.

The problem is on PC side. You have to get some software supporting a2dp (galaxy shows "multimedia") service like BlueSoleil or something WidComm based. Stock Windows XP/Vista/7 drivers can't do this. When you have it then Galaxy should show "multimedia" service which you should connect (when connecting Windows will install some extra drivers to play audio via BT) to stream audio to PC. In my Samsung x460 with Windows 7 and WidComm based drivers it works like charm (I got also back/play/forward controls in windows to control Galaxy!).

@ZOSO:
It think you have standard Windows bluetooth drivers. Try to install BlueSoleil (very nice and easy software) or WidComm.

Interestingly,

I find it more conveniant to transfer the music to PC via WIFI using Estrongs ES file manager (samba) or USB cable. Afterwards use VLC remote widget as a remote. It saves battery and it's cool. :)

i was streaming to a samsung digital audio system at my friends to see how good his base was with my dubstep

it works very well

crow6 thnks allot for your help :) i downloaded BlueSoleil and it shows me that im paired in the pc but still it doesnt show that im paired in the device and sadly no music, may be it has something with the thing that it has timer for the discovery mode in the galaxy

it shows me no services for the galaxy in the software

have you tried that "use comp as a headset" option?
does it work alright?
how does it cope with looping sound (mic's bound to be within the effective area of big computer speakers) ?

I meant that i use the PC has an headset in the software and it worked

the sound in calls is ok but i didnt use it much for that
