Help Streaming Video Issues

There have been discussions re streaming video on other forums, but I thought I'd see if anyone with a Flytouch has successfully been able to run streaming video apps like HBO GO and Netflix. If so, how did you get it to work? In my case the apps start but quickly freeze.

Nobody answers. My FL3\Facepad is travelling right now so i can't test it.

Many people suggest to Update to the latest tim's firmware and try to download other browsers like Skyfire.

Can you test the Megavideo App?

I would advise against using the SkyFire browser due to the well publicised security hole - by breaking HTTPS connections in two it opens you up to, among other things, identity theft.

Use Dolphin HD, in my experience it's: fast, reliable and tabbed!

I am running Tim's 4e and Dolphin HD. I tried Megavideo (must be a European thing since it charges in Euros and spells words funny like "favourites." I was able to run the videoclips, but the movie clips, which I assume are higher resolution, freeze just like the other high-quality streaming videos I've tried. I'm guessing that the Flytouch just doesn't have sufficent horsepower to handle 1080p HD video.

Has anyone tried overclocking to see if that works?

You really don't use Megavideo in the US? I know that you have great services like Netflix and Tv Network's online streaming resources, but this is really strange!

I use Megavideo everyday for watching series and movies (in English too) and I think it's great, however they released an interesting App, i will try it hoping for a better working solution. I don't need any HD content.

'movie streamer lite' is a great app for streamer tons of free movies , doesnt seem to be on the app market at the moment but is about if you google it.
i recommended it.

I replaced the SD card with a Class 10 card. Netflix streaming video (1080p HD) is perfect now, but sound is garbled. HBO GO sound is perfect, but video is halting. I'll keep at it. :-)

Netflix updated its streaming app today. Sound problem is fixed, but video is constantly rebuffering. I'm running Tim's 4e. Has anyone tried the new version running Tim's 5a? If so what result?

Had a friend with an iPad come over and Netflix runs fine on it. Measured WiFi strength, and it is the same on both devices for the same location. Leads me to think that it is a buffering issue and that there might eventually be a software solution.
