Help Street view in Google maps

I can not find it anywhere. I've been in the market to download and it says already installed. Can someone fill me in on how to find it. Thanks.

In the Maps application -- you have to pinpoint a location on the map first (for example you can tap on your current location, or long press on any part of the map you want), then tap on the bubble that pops up. Street View is an option in the Location Details.

Street view does not work at all on my Google nexus 7
Long pressing brings up 'loading address'
However it never gets further than this

On my nexus 7 (2013) if you select a place on the map (long press on locations) and bring up a pin you then get a bubble that shows the detail of the pin. Selecting the pin bubble brings up details of the address. Within the details is a streetview box which you select to bring up streetview.
