Stripped Sense 2.0 features

I am unsure if this question has been asked once before, but why in the world would VZW strip major features of Sense 2.0 from the Thunderbolt (getting more themes, downloading more sense widgets, and most importantly htcsense.com)

Why Verizon Why???

I'm thinking there must have been some features that would be direct competition with Verizon services.

they may have left it out due to htc maybe upgrading all services when they release GB with sense...maybe they wanted to put out a ore polished sense 2.0 features

I just noticed this myself when I tried to download additional sound sets. I'd been using the Inspire on ATT before this and it had the capability to log into Sense during set up as well as download additional material.

I've "googled" around for information on this but can't find anything except for the fact that customizing your phone using Sense is clearly listed as a selling point in various materials. Is this something that will be enabled at a later date due to how new the phone is or are we out of luck completely? Perhaps it just wasn't immediately available after launch?

There is so much bloatwear on this phone I will be supremely p*ssed if that feature isn't enabled, perhaps going as far as to returning the phone altogether.

am i the only person who's pissed that you can set your lock screen wallpaper separate from the homescreen wallpaper? you could do it on the eris and incredible

Do you mean "can't"... because if you do not that feature of having different wallpapers on the home and lockscreen was on all pre-froyo (2.2) versions of android.

And it is one of the few things I did not like about my Incredible, but if it is back I am going to be one happy camper :D

can't do that on the incredible. i've had mine since july 2010 and never could do that, but yes my old eris was able to.

my bad. i did mean "can't." and i'm not sure i'm reading your post right. you're saying you could set your lockscreen separate from your homescreen on all pre froyo versions of android? because i have a droid and g1 that beg to differ. also, the aria could do it :(

That is really strange because I'm almost certain that before I froyo I could have separate ... maybe I'm wrong about the incredible but I'm 100% that Eris had that feature
