Root Stripping phone apps to make mini tablet?

I wanna eliminate all the "phone" stuff and reuse my admire like a tablet/media center/GPS/work tool...

I know the phone.apk and message apk can go. But what else can I get rid of? And what would you recommended for helping battery life?

my opinion is flash the mini rom. its stripped already and you can add whats needed by just dropping your apps in system/app.

its an ABC rom they made that is only 59mb big. Stripped as it gets and smooth. Its a build your own type rom. Basic functions only. Just add your own flavor.
