Help STU random reboots

This has been an ongoing problem for my wife and I for a while. We both have Samsung Transform Ultra's. Her's is 100% stock, not 1 app has ever been installed (I know what a waste.) Mine is rooted with all kinds of stuff, but running the stock rom (2.3.4) Every once in awhile the phone will just reboot. Sometimes while its just sitting there not being used, other times it happens during a phone call. It's some kind of fast reboot because it just shows the Boost logo and goes straight to the lockscreen. I've tried factory resetting multiple times, and it doesn't matter. At first on my phone I thought maybe I was installing a bad app but then my wife's phone started doing it to. The weird thing about it is that it only happens when we're at home. As crazy as this sounds could it be some kind of network error in my area and the phone is pissed off? Sometimes when I get home from work it's not even 5 minutes and the phone does this. But they never both do it at the same time. It's getting pretty annoying. Has anyone else had a similar issue or know a way to stop this??

I have an unrooted STU (Android 2.3.6) & I have the same problem. I noticed the problem before the update as well. Not sure what is causing it, but I have noticed that sometimes when my phone freezes, it will do that. Do you think it could be related to the ram (or rom)?

Just had that problem right now. Phone is next to me and it buzzed, and I picked it up because I knew it was not set to Silent. Everything was fine, then it buzzed two more times in my hand and I saw the Boost logo flash on the screen for a half second and go black. Hit the power button and got nothing for a few seconds and then it came back on and it was media scanning as it usually does on a boot up.

I have a completely stock phone, no flash/root, no 2.3.6 update, but I do have apps and what not.

I dunno how you're gonna do this without cwm but for those of you with cwm please try fixing permissions.

In cwm go to advanced and select fix permissions. Might as well clear your dalvick cache while you're in there too.

The single vibration followed by 2 more means an error or force close has happened and often fixing permissions can clear that issue up.

I'm so sick of this phone and it's crappy service. It's rebooted itself 3 times in the past 24 hours, and my wife's has rebooted once. After the 1st one I cleared cache, dalvik, and fixed permissions. I guess I'm going to start trying some custom roms tonight and see if those do it to. What interesting is my 3G has been in and out all day. Once it comes back on is when my phone seems to reboot.

I just wanted to say that when my phone was losing the signal, going green to grey/white, I thought it was because they were working on the tower near my home upgrading to the 4g LTE. I have an app that uses the GPS and it was messing up seemed like I couldn't do anything without it falling. So after contacting the company they said that I needed to uninstall and then re-download it and fresh install. "This will eliminate any corrupt files that may be present." I did that and ever since I have had no problem with any of my connections 3g, GPS, phone connection or my WIFI, (I did do the suggestion Loota posted about using openDNS).

My phone was booting on its own there for a while before the update but I never would let it install. I would delete the file (after making a copy) and then let it think it was going to install by allowing it to reboot. Once in CWM I would reboot, shortly there after it stopped rebooting, not sure exactly when it stopped but it has. :smokingsomb:
