Root stuck at zerging root.. (revolutionary)

does anyone know what to do? using revolutionary and im stuck at the first step... beta key was correct and it says zerging root... this may take a minute or so... and it has been like that for like 20 minutes....??
 
is you debugging on or off? turn your anti-virus off. make sure that htc sync is uninstalled. and did you installed the fastboot drivers?

debugging is on.... dont think it has an anti-virus.. and htc sync is uninstalled... and fastboot drivers are installed.. now what? lol
 
and you have your phone set to charge? not disk drive?
while revolutionary is running check your debugging, somebody said that it turned off somehow during the process and as soon as he turned it on it worked.

debugging is still on and it is set to charge... what now? lol
 
try and start all over again. redownload revolutionary and see if it will work. some people have tried many time before it ran through.

umm is there anything you need to actually install because i have just been running the exe.. that is correct right? other than that i can't figure it out it is still stuck.. i tried redownloading the file and it still not working...
 
what computer are you using. do you have access to another one? does your computer able to see the phone when connected to usb?
I'm using an hp dv11 and my computer does recognize that the phone is plugged in and I may be able to try it on another computer tomorrow...
 
also forgot to ask if you did a factory reset or if you formatted your card or not?

Nope... Trying to preserve data... Lol I was hoping that wasn't the problem.. It said it wasn't required just optional.. Do u know if anyone has done it without the reset?

yeah i added that step in later becuase some people were having issues like this. i know that it has helped some people, but others it did not. that is why i left it as optional. up to you though. but i'm running out of ideas.

yeah i figured as much... i gotta find a way to switch all of her contacts to google contacts because she didnt back them up on their originally... its my friends phone and its actually a droid incredible 2 but their forum had the same steps as ours and not to mention i tried getting help there but nobody even replied to my question so i figured i would try in our section! lol oh well do u know an easy way to switch all the contacts to google without entering them in manually one by one?? thans for ur help again by the way.. as always!

no unfortunately i dont think that there is any quick way to do it unfortunately.
 
check your programs it should be there. if not then try a search for htc drivers

have you tried it on another computer yet? other than wiping the phone, i'm not sure. you can go to the revolutionary website and go to their irc channel and ask them. also remember this is not necessarily the final product. there is still work they are doing to improve it.

i wiped the phone... same thing... the only other computer i can use is running ubuntu and i dont know how to run the linux version of the revolutionary download so im not sure ....
