Stuck in Activation

I used sbf / rsd lite to restore my phone to stock so I could force the 2.2 update. Now I'm stuck in activation.

When I touch the android to start, it takes me to the calling screen. My phone gets activated and when I hit next, it takes me back to the touch the android. Endless loop.

Help please.

you can touch all corners in a clockwise direction and bypass the setup.

I got stuck for a while, tried the 4 corners trick, then I think I just hit the home button at the bottom and it went to the clock and green slider screen.

Happens every time phone turns off when Im overseas without phone service but still want to use wireless or apps.
