hi i am brand new to the forum & to android. i attempted to use gin gingerbreak 1.2 to root my phone but upon reboot i got stuck in a boot loop please help me!!! i dont have the first idea what to do

i downloaded gbrk and installed the app following the instuction at the beginning checking the usb rom thing then ran the app when my phone rebooted it just kept doing it over & over i pulled the battery and put it back in & the boot loop continues. i found the mobile partition fix on here will that workUsing Gingerbreak shouldn't bootloop your phone, can you go into more detail as to what happened and what steps you took?
cool right now i just want to fix the boot loop if you could post a link or tell me if that will do the job i will do itYou don't need to root your phone just do the clockwork swap boot into clockwork & flash whatever rom you want presto rooted & on a custom rom.![]()
i have a sd card adaptar. so if i put this rom on my sd card all will be fixedyep like jaay dogg said... you can just put clockwork mod on your phone and flash a rom. (it will root the phone for you)
as long as you have a way to get the rom onto your sdcard (adapter for a pc) youll be all good.![]()
right after the virgin animation and sound the loop beginsBTW, what part is your phone getting stuck on? the logo or the animation?
(logo is first image shown, and animation is everything after that)
i trying nowDid you flash any kernels ? Do you have clockwork installed ? power off & then volume down plus power to boot into downloader mode then open the folder called image & replace the recovery image with the clockwork image, then reboot & hold power, volume up & down to boot into clockwork
