I bought this phone from a friend that could not get to work. When I power on it goes into the boot mode. But the Volume button will not work for the select and power button does not work either. Any suggestions?
If you mean boot mode where you can select what to boot into (e.g. recovery), then at the top it should list a bunch of crap. The last few words should say S-ON or S-OFF. If it says S-OFF you're rooted, if S-ON you're still with stock.
