My nexus 5 is rooted but I am running stock android. It powered off yesterday and now it wont reboot. When i plug it in it starts to boot but doesn't get past the google screen before it turns off and begins to boot again. Does anyone have any advice. I would just contact google for a warranty replacement if it were not rooted...

It sounds as if you had it plugged in for a few minutes. That barely gives it enough charge to shut off. Charge it for 24 hours (turned off) before you try to go further.

I cannot get it to the bootloader.

When I put it on the charger it trys to turn on automatically. I don't press anything.

How much battery power you have if its lower than 45 . u need to charge up some then try to get into boot loader

is the power button some how stuck
so it tries to boot but can not so reboots again....

Since it's rooted, if you previously set usb debugging in dev options and have adb working, Wug's toolkit may get you going. It has an option if your device is boot looping.

Considering the wonky power button, that it could be stuck is a real possibility.
