Root Stuck in ClockworkMod

Last night, I rooted my phone. I wanted to get into installing ROMs so I decided to test one out. I went with TrulyEpic and started the install process through ROM manager. I went into recovery yada yada and got the install started. Midway through, the screen went blank with a battery in the middle with the little spinning disk in the middle (except not spinning). Battery died? I didn't think so. I started the process with a good bit of battery and had my phone charging in the computer the entire time. I unplugged it from the computer and into the wall. Same thing. I let it charge for a while, but it still kept that screen with the battery. I unplugged it, took out battery/put it back in, and went into recovery (volume down, camera, power). I get the Samsung startup screen and then it goes to ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.0. There is also a "E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log" error at bottom. Here's my options and their results:

-reboot system now: recycles back to ClockworkMod
-apply sdcard:update.zip: goes to ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.2.4
-wipe data/factory reset: data wipe complete with "E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log" error at bottom
-wipe cache partition: complete with same error
-install zip from SD: update.zip gets ClockworkMod screen with a bunch of the "Can't open" errors, TrulyEpic zip completes, everything successful, but goes back to ClockworkMod
-backup/restore: i had backup, tried to restore. stuck at lost+found at bottom aftereverything complete. left overnight. nothing.
-mounts and storage: can mount/unmount and format everything
-advanced: idk what all that does

I'm downloading stock ROM via torrent right now. I'm going to give that a try. I'll post results if anyone else the same problem. Thanks!!

the flash failed, your battery lost power how i dont know, the error log is normal sounds like all you need is just to download a custom rom, wipe and flash it

How would I go about this? From what I see, being new to this, I have wiped it through data/factory reset and wipe cache partition. Am I missing anything else? I have the TrulyEpic ROM. Since it failed, does that mean I should try a new one?

well you can try it again but to me sounds like either a bad download or just the rom is bad.. im leaning towards the first one tho, what you need to do is download a rom, put it on the sdcard (usb mount in cwm is broken so use an adapter or another phone)

So I downloaded the stock ROM and put it on the SD using an adapter. I tried to install it but when I do it justs does a few lines of text, can't read them, and sends me back to the main ClockworkMod screen. When I try to install the TrulyEpic, it goes through the whole thing and spits me back out at the main screen!

I would download odin and flash back to stock that way. Or download another rom onto your card and flash it in cwm.
