Root Stuck in CWM recovery boot loop

I rooter the phone and then performed a restore and ever since it's been booting into Clock Work Recovery. I've tried the exitrecovery, but after putting the files on s card and going to install zip from sd card the meta inf and tmp/ as shown as empty. perhaps in doing something wrong? if i am, plz help out im a noob at this.

Dont unzip the folder. Never unzip any folder thats intended to be flashed. Just put the zip on your sd and flash it

Ok. I'm an idiot. I flashed exitrecovery.zip it says it was applied successfully and to go ahead and reboot the phone. I go in and reboot the phone and come right back to CWM v5.5.0.4. Its on an LG MS840. I still dont see the phone properly to apply the stock software. What am I supposed to do after flashing exitrecovery?

try to download the latest ZIP file from this thread:

there has been comments of it not working for some people, but it should be working now.
