Root stuck on 2.2????

I rooted my HTC EVO 4G when it was @ 2.3.3 and flashed a custom Rom and kernel...then I wanted to go back to HTC sense stock rom.....so I used an RUU file for 2.2 and now I want to update to 2.3.3 but when I go to system updates it shows that i have the most current firmware??? How do I get back to 2.3.3???

Do you still have s-off? Do you still have recovery? If so you can download the odex version from here. It is the stock rooted rom release in the latest OTA. If you want a custom rom look here. There are some awesome sense roms based on the 2.3.3 release but have Sense 2.1 added in.
