stuck on android is updating screen

apologies if im in wrong lace here but

got a notification that a update was available today on my Samsung galaxy tab 2,the update was android 4.2.2 i think, anyway i clicked ok, there was on some kind of loading screen for a while now on the screen is a box saying "android is updating, optimizing app 103 of 219

But its been stuck on app 103 for the last hour. is this normal should i just leave it or should i try to turn device off??

any help areciated

Dodgy one. I THINK(?) the rom is in now and if you restart it, the apps will start optimising again but i really dont wana make the call here. Leave it a bit longer then *at your own risk* restart the phone and good luck :beer:

I'd give it a reboot if it hangs more than say 5 minutes on that one app. :thumbup:

Ive had to do the same with a custom rom but was a bit scared with an OTA

If you reboot before an OTA finishes, you may have a problem, but if you get through the boot and see "updating apps" then it should be safe to reboot. It may start again with app #1, but it shouldn't brick it.
