Root stuck on bootloop s-on hboot 1.40?

so I should try the stock ruu?I just flashed another one.It went through the process but no dice just stuck in bootloop, but I can get to fastboot now.but when I get to fastboot it says hboot ver 1.50 locked ?Could some tell me the command to get the main ver? Thanks

It also seems like I cant get the phone to charge. If I try to power down plug in usb charger I get a red light that intermittently cuts on and off every 30 seconds or so?I even have a wired one same thing?Should I get a wall charger and charge the battery then see if I can get it to boot?I have been putting the battery in the freezer for a bit, then taking it out.t seems to have enough charge to get into fastboot and run and load the ruu.

Could be a problem with the battery. If it's plugged into the USB, does the light go solid?

no light when plugged in usb in pc . I also have that ruu downloaded.I tried to run it and it said it was successful no boot either.I'll try this one again.thanks .More info my copy of that ruu was 406 mb this one is 407?weird we'll see if that matters

I'm having a hard time following the steps you've taken with regard to the file size.

Did you download the RUU I linked above?

I would try to register for an account and perform an HTC Dev Unlock. Select the EVO 3D (Sprint). Navigate to step 8 in the process and follow it from there, to the point where you flash the Unlock_code.bin file.

If you are successful with that, you may flash a recovery. Place that file in the folder with your fastboot and adb files.

From the bootloader, issue the following command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

From the bootloader, select "bootloader", then "recovery".

Once in the recovery, select wipe | format, then format all partitions (except sdcard).

If that is successful, we can attempt to perform S-OFF and get your HBOOT changed after that.

Could you tell me the proper commands to clear storage and factory reset? Can I do that in fastboot? When I factory reset just goes in bootloop?

Just select those options in hboot. You may not have the clear storage option until ics,or the 3d may just not have it.

So you have tried the factory reset option in hboot?

I just checked and there is no clear storage option in the Evo 3D hboot and you have to press the power button once to select the bootloader (hboot) functions that include factory reset.
