Help Stuck on Low Brightness

I have had a brand new Wildfire S for a few days now, and it seems to have become stuck on the lowest brightness. I have done a factory reset and tried altering the brightness in the settings, but it's still not working. I have also charged it.

Please explain, and help me fix this annoying issue! Thanks!

Do you have auto brightness set on? If you have, this will override any brightness changes you attempt to make.
