Help Stuck on pattern lock screen...

Well, my buddy got an iPhone so he sold me his old Samsung droid but forgot his pattern lock -_- Is there any way to do a factory reset on the software so I can reset the pattern lock? It doesn't ask for Google Account information or anything like that.

Yes. Hold the volume rocker up, back arrow button and power button.

It will go to a crazy screen where you can reset the phone.
