Root Stuck on the Huawei Screen

Ok here is the short version of everything so far


installed CWR Mod 3.0.0.5 - Success
installed darklg.froyo.plus.cwm3.zip - Success
then wiped it all and installed
CWR Mod 2.5.1.8 - Success
and tried to install
IcarusMod 1.1 - Failed

then followed steps to flash back to stock ( on this site )
flash looks like it finished fine ( was not in room when Cmd window closed ) it auto rebooted ( as per instructions )

now it gets stuck on the huawei screen i have let it sit at this now for 5 hours



HELP or did i just brick it
 
pull battery yet? i know it may brick so don't get mad at me if it does but it seems the only chance you have at the moment.

UPDATE:


I got it working again...............

But for some reason i cant not get it rooted at all
no mater what i try

ok got it rooted and now installing Froyo 2.2.1
I think i might have figured out the Non-Working MMS problem........ Will let you guys know how it goes when i try this experiment to see if it fixes it
 
I think it was simply just the variables between each rom you were using. Plus the fact that they needed different clockwork recovery versions. Good Luck with this. I've only gone from stock to Icarus 1.1. I just don't see the Froyo being a stable rom. I've heard that it has too many bugs. As with all things, This will be fixed with time. Good Luck. Hope you find a fix that works perfect for you.
 
Just trying to fix the MMS now........... that is all i am gonna work on until i get it since i know this is a BIG thing for the Ascend Community right now........ Expect a walk through on how to fix this comming soon............. and if i can do it I will be a GOD on this site............... I wonder if there is a way to lock the info to this site so that no other sites can steal it and say it is theirs or that they found the fix???

WOOOOOOOT..................... MAJOR break through on the MMS front for Froyo 2.2.1 for the rom darklg.froyo.plus.cwm3.fixed By Dark LG........... Testing to see if the fix i did is working........ Will get back to you shortly

I am applying the ( possible patch work now ) and have to reload froyo

give me about 30 min

And here i am $100.00 later worth of Java Monsters still no sleep and still going at it...............

I WILL FIX THIS i will not quit or give up till i do

i know nothing about the 2.2.1 yogurt rom. i'm just now jumping into figuring out icarus.
havent read code in years... damn, i forgot that it really IS another language.

by the way....
java monster= the shit. have you tried the white russian or irish cream ones yet?

don't see them around often but they kick.
 
Well still no working mms fix..............


I have an idea as to where to start looking at after searching and reading for the last 2 days......... gonna go check another theroy on this situation
 
Hmmmm I think i have found out why we have no mms


the formating of the APN's in the darklg.froyo.plus.cwm3.fixed.zip version is not matching up to the formatting of any other APN style of files

is there anyone out there that can breakdown this build and maybe make some changes i have in mind?????
 
I think i have a mms Fix but due to a accident with my Ascend i have no way to test it............

Edit the file to change **#######**@aaaf.mymetropcs.com to read yournumberhere@aaaf.mymetropcs.com

DO NOT ADD THE **'s back to the part before the @aaaf.mymetropcs.com it MUST read like i have the file for it to work i think......... just change the **#######** to your areacodeandnumber an example is
8133776313@aaaf.mymetropcs.com DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING THING ELSE IN THE FILE
rename attached file from apnlist.txt to apnlist.xml
Make sure you back up your exsiting APN's before loading this one......
Once your existing ones are back up delete the current apn's

then do a restore using this file

PLEASE get back to me and let me know how it goes
