Stuck on WCDMA perferred

A few days ago, I played around with the test settings (dialing *#*#4636#*#*)
And switched the preferred network type to WCDMA Perferred.
Now I can't switch it to anything else, like GSM/CDMA auto (PRL). If I do, when I go back to the phone test settings, it reappears as WCDMA Preferred.

How do I fix this? And which is the best setting?

What are you trying to set it to? I believe your current setting is to hold HSPA even with a weak signal before dropping down to EDGE. I think for 95% of people, that's the setting you'd want.
