Root studering video playback?

Hey everyone, I am running the latest stock 2.2 Rom with netarchy 4.0.3 kernel on top. I now seem to have everything running but my video isn't as smooth as it should be. I have tried, rocket player real player beta and the new froyo stock the videos I am trying to watch were encoded for my Archos 5 using x.264 in an mp4 container any suggestions on how I can get these videos smooth?
Thanks Chris

I noticed the same thing... For some reason the sound is choppy. I have no idea what is causing it but I can tell you that it isn't the kernel because I was using the stock kernel up until today...

You need to use a program call mediainfo and post the specs of your video using it. The X.264 format have many variations of profile and not all of them can be played on the EVO. The Archos 5 is a much more capable video player.
