Root stupid question about root

[bword]

Im still learning a ton about the android OS and I have a dumb question. Are there apps the Android market that is made for a rooted phone only. Reason im asking is because I saw something on there but it looks like its made for a rooted phone only and I dont wanna risk screwing up my phone over it.

yes, apps like titanium backup, and drocap2 require root, almost all of them should say Root Required or something similar in the description.

Other apps are for both, but can do more things if root IS enabled.

Perhaps better suited for the "All things root" board.

So far most of the apps I use the most are for rooted phones because I like to try out different ROMs and hacks, so I need access to Backup apps and apps to access folders that are in the root of the phone.
