I'm running damage controls rom and I like some of the looks of other roms like the battery icon lock screen but I like the look of the stock lay out is there ways of flashing updates or something to change this rom to the couple of things I like from other roms
Short answer is yes. You can modify the look of your phone however you like. All of the ROMs that have different "looks" to them have been modified from the stock. However, you will need to do some due diligence and find what mods you want to make. In order to find these, you will need to over to XDA here:
There you will find pages and pages of "themes" and "mods" that you can apply to your phone. Check them out and see which ones you like, and just be sure to make a nand backup before you start flashing.
