Root Su binary outdated/recovery question

I've run this before but not with the recovery issue. So it asks about the recovery before you update and I'm not sure which to choose. I suspect the worst i have to worry about is factory reset, and I've already done a nandroid backup, so I'm pretty sure it won't be that big of a deal, but id just rather not deal with all that, ya know? Lol. So the options I'm using the 2nd init recovery. I'm not sure how to run anything else on thus model. The app asks if you're using twrp/cwm or custom (?). Can't remember that last option, will get back.) Not sure which to choose. Please help.

That's what i suspected. Thanks. So is 2nd init the only option when on stock? Is anyone using the motion 4g using a different recovery? How is all this working?

just download superuser and use supersu to grant permission to update binary aboatright puts both in there i think and that cause conflict. cm already has superuser so you can delete them and rezip before flashing.
