Root Successfully rooted ZTE Avid 4G (MetroPCS)

How long does rooting take when I do this the command prompt just says loafing dameon dameon loaded. Then nothing. It just waits. Am I doing this right and is the ftm mode just the screen with ftm?

Shouldn't take more than a few minutes, provided you have installed the proper drivers. You might have to reboot your computer after installing the device drivers. When you're in FTM, you should only see a grey rectangle labeled "FTM".

Thanks for working on getting a root for this phone. Now I can finally remove some of the bloatware. Thanks again :D

how do I enable usb mass storage mode on my ZTE Avid 4G? I just rooted my ZTE Avid 4G using the above method. Thanks so much to the easy steps.

That was the easiest root method ever! Thanks again Kcurtis106. To Clubanger96, yes. I used Titanium Backup pro. Removed all the MetroPCS apps. Cutesnowbear, just pull down the notification bar, and tap the USB connected and select that option. Thanks again Kcurtis106

im getting everything to work the way you say it will reboot back into ftm mode after i type root but reboots really fast second time and root checker says not rooted wondering what mode my phone has to be in for the usb debbuging and the charge only or storage or install mode any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I hate to ask this, but, did you happen to test your camera prior to rooting the phone? I'm thinking that perhaps this could be a manufacturing defect, because the rooting process doesn't alter camera settings. It has nothing to do with the camera.

Did you backup your data before you rooted?

Mine works fine. Anyone else have this issue?

You should boot into FTM. Go back to my first post on this thread, slow down, take a breath and follow the steps all over again and you should be fine. ;)

Follow up with us when you're finished.
