Has anyone got a successful step by step method to apply the OTA and still keep root?
Since I didn't delete any system apps (just froze them), here is what I imagine will work, but I am a little hesitant to try it, since I don't have time right now to deal with any problems. Too many other projects in the wind....
1) Using TI BKUP - unfreeze everything that was frozen
2) Uninstall SU after removing permissions in SU and uninstall TI BKUP
3) Unroot D3 using the tool that rooted it
4) Reboot
5) Apply the OTA update (includes reboot)
6) Re-root using the same tool that rooted it originally
7) Reboot
8) Re-install TI BKUP and SU
Do I really need to uninstall TI BKUP and SU? (step 2)
Can anyone confirm that reroot procedure works for the updated D3 system? (step 6)
Also, I noticed yesterday that my PC got an update to the MOTO device drivers and they are now MotoHelper 2.0.53 Driver 5.2.0. Will this driver update affect unrooting or rerooting? (steps 3 and 6)
I want to move forward, but would like to follow (rather than lead) at this time.
