Sudden advertising on AF forum app??

Had to switch back to the ugly version of Tapatalk i bought while drunk lol.

I suppose its fair enough for the app to show ads since we get them on web site and they pay for the site.. was just a shock when they suddenly started flashing in my face grr... makes the app unusable imo :(

I havent used the AF version of tapatalk, so I don't know about ads or lack thereof

But, if its ad supported I'd leave them be. Whatever revenue they generate only helps the site improve :D

Yeah bro i totaly appreciate that but id expect a site for android enthusiasts to be more "tactful" in their advertising. They change/flash in a way that totally distracts the eye and theyre big enough that you tap them while trying to scroll. Plus they dont seem to be targeted ads. Google knows what im interested in and targets me with that which i dont mind but these ads seem to just be lowest-common-denomenator stuff that only know what country im in

I'll let someone higher up know about this and hopefully they can chime in.

Like I said, I'm not much help since I haven't tried it

I think I remember there being a talk about a paid version that removes adds. Being a premium member, you can look at the thread regarding this app if you like funky.

AFAIK AF doesn't control the ads, it's just based on the ad network used for the app.

I moved this here in case Admins have a better answer.

Actually, if I remember the thread well enough, Being premium or staff warranted you use of the beta versions and the final version before it was pushed to the play store. So I imagine if a premium version was in the works, it would follow that as well. Thus meaning we get the paid version for free by downloading the apk in that thread. Though I suppose that nothing is for certain.
