Sudden battery change

Hi all this is my first post ... I have a virgin mobile optimus v. So far my phone was good with the battery and held a great charge even using it often thru the day. Now all the sudden in the last week after a full charge and 3 hours later im below 80%... normally I would be in the high 90%s. By the time I get home its dead. The only thing I hae done different was had it charging and playing music thru my fm transmitter at the same time, thats all I can think of. Any help greatly appreciated. I also turned off various things to see if it made a changeabut didnt do much thanks eric

Did you downloaded any new apps prior to this happening.
I charge mine and play music thru it at the same with no difference in battery off charge times. It sounds like you might have either an app that's misbehaving or the "50% Time Without Signal" bug.

Go to menu/settings/applications/running services/look at those things that are running. If you see a downloaded app running that you don't think should be click on it. If it gives you the option to stop it,do so. Hit the back button twice and scroll down to About Phone/Battery use. Look at what has been using you battery and see if shows the 50% tws. Hit back button 3 times wait for 10 minutes then go back into running services and see if any apps that you stopped are running again. If you see one that is running again,check to see if it's on the sd card. If it is then move it to the phone. If it wasn't on the phone then you need to think about deleting it and finding something similar in the market.

You also need to go to the market and go to "My Apps" and go thru every app and make sure the automatic update box is not checked.

If when you were in "Battery Use" you saw the 50% tws then turn off phone. Wait a minute and then turn phone back on. Turn airplane mode on for 30sec.,then turn it off(this will have to be done every time you power the phone back on).
