Help sudden battery drop

All,

The strangest thing: About a week now, whenever my battery indicator, indicates that my Nexus 4 is at about 25%, suddenly the connection is lost and the phone simply dies. I have to connect it to a charger and the phone starts to load, indicating that the battery was completely empty. The other day I checked my battery history after such a drop and it was charged again and this showed the graph below

Check out the sudden drop to zero. Anyone else experienced this?

(Edited: folder was public, pic apparently not...now it should be)

Link should work now...

Can't say it happens all the time; seen it happening now for about a week and I recharge the phone whenever I can, so it sometimes happens that the battery doesn't go below 50% for up to three days. I'll let it drain on purpose later today.

Yep, sorted thanks.

I can't say I've ever seen this happen on the N4, but on other handsets this sort of thing is normally borked battery, or borked handset. :(

You could try a factory reset, see if that makes things better?

Could be that the battery stats the phone uses to calculate the outstanding charge are well out of date. Not sure how you can reset these as the assumption was that if you allowed the phone to completely uncharge a couple of times, the phone did that automatically.

Clearly that's not the case here

As El P suggests, a factory reset might help ..

Riiiiggghhht.....ok....hmmmm.

Well, thanks for the quick replies. I'm gonna think about it, but first see if the problem persists. But at least it's an impressive drop and fortunately for the rest out there this is not something that happens a lot apperently.
