Help Sudden Shut Down, Battery % Wrong, Battery Drain

hinky

Newbie
Out of nowhere my 2 month old Note 3 is now shutting down as if the battery is completely depleted. In some instances, it's not. I'll plug it into an outlet, turn on the phone, and eventually I'll see 50% left on the battery. Other times the battery will drain like crazy. At first it was email suddenly checking non-stop. Deleted the email app but that didn't help. Pulled the battery, full charge, still the same things going on. Looks like massive Android OS drain too. Wondering whether I'll have to do a hard reboot, lose everything, and see whether the hardware is going haywire. Hope not.

I think this could be a hardware problem, something to do with your battery. If you still have a warranty, go with the phone to where you made your purchase and explain this to them, and ask for a battery replacement.

Looks like the battery was the problem. I had to buy another battery and that worked perfectly. Weird. Never had that happen before. Samsung is having me send in the old battery to get it "fixed" LOL.

I am now having the same issue with my 1 1/2 year old N3, I do have a new battery. My phone is at times, just off. I'll have to power it back on. It have even just "blacked out" on me. This is with my new battery. I'm going to put the old battery back in and see if I continue to have the same problem.
I have looked at what programs are running at the time, but I do not notice anything out of the normal.

Lateck,

Up-date on my battery issue.
Out of no-where it seems to have solved it self.
Now I did notice a large number of Apps updateing them self around the time my battery issues began. Maybe one of the apps had a bug that was fixed.......

Lateck,
