I am using the LG Optimus Elite from Virgin Mobile. When connected via usb, my phone is suddenly unrecognized by windows 7 64-bit. The phone shows up as an unrecognized device. Oddly though, the phone would detect a connection (asking whether I wanted to charge or use mass storage) but after a week or two of this issue the phone also stopped showing that it was even connected via usb. The phone simply just charges now while plugged in.
Here are some things I've tried:
-Restarting the phone and computer (removing battery also)
-Restarting the computer but plugging in the phone while the computer is shutdown
-Swapped to different usb ports
-I've tried to connect with my wife's Optimus Elite with the same result
-Re-installed drivers for the phone
-Banged my head against the wall (didn't help)
If anyone knows how to fix this issue, I would GREATLY appreciate any and all help. Thank you
