Suddenly slow Wifi

Hi,

A month ago I bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 S7275R. After a week my Wifi was suddenly very slow. When I resetted the phone it was normal again. Now I have it again, but I really don't want to reset it again. I already tried to delete cache and data from Google Play Store and my Internet browser. I installed speedtest.net and my download speed is only 0.16 mbps. Is there any way to solve this problem without resetting my phone again?

That depends on a few things. First, who is your carrier?

I'm from Belgium and my carrier is Proximus. I recently changes to Telenet but my SIM-card isn't activated yet. I'm pretty sure that the carrier changing can't be the problem because a month ago my carrier was still Proximus.

My error - you said wifi, not data, so it would have nothing to do with the carrier.

I'd suspect an overheating wifi radio. Try just turning wifi off for an hour or so, then turning it on and running speedtest immediately. If it's fast at first, then slows down, it's heat. There's not much you can do about replacing the radio yourself.
