Help Suddenly two email notifications

I am suddenly getting 2 notifications for emails. It appears to be two different apps. One is the stock mail app, the other Im not sure about. I havent downloaded any new email apps. One one a white envelope, the other is a black envelope. Getting kind of annoying.

They mentioned a black envelope also. Turns out he had 2 google mail apps or something.

Thanks, looks like there is the stock "Mail" app, and then a Gmail app, which I assume is also stock because I dont remember downloading it.
 
I just dont get why the gmail app would suddenly start notifying.
 
i use k9 mail and i disbaled the htc email notifications but have noticed random notifications from the htc app and when i go back into it it somehow rechecked the notification box. this has happened 2 times since i got the phone in feb. the first time i was like well maybe i was fussing with something and accidentally tapped it to turn it back on. but after that i never opened the app again and it happened maybe 1.5-2 weeks ago. so im clueless as to how it will start the notifications again

actually that was around the time i did that update, maybe the update reset somethings?? how long has it been happening to you?
