Help Suffering from DEPRESSION - BUTTON DEPRESSION that is....

Well..you can add me to the ranks of users whose power butting is now fully flush with the unit making it difficult to turn on.

Very frustrated. What to do?.....return it for a new one and have to go through the whole process of getting comfortable again or deal with it...

My power button is also somewhat flush with the top of the plastic cover, but I am not sure I want to return it because then that probably means I'll get a refurb and not knowing how the previous owner handled their refurb, even if they had it for a few days, I don't like not knowing. The last time I sent in a refurb, the refurb was in worse shape than the phone I was turning in. I actually had to flat out reject the replacement phone because cosmetically my phone was in much better shape (the phone had a chrome button that on mine, I could almost see my reflection in it, but on the refurb, looked like someone tried polishing it with a cheese grater).

Mine has always been pretty much flush with the body of the phone. The volume buttons stick out a bit though. And they still look the same as new.

I got a replacement phone because I was getting dust under the screen.

The power/volume buttons on my replacement phone stick out more than the original one I had. BUT, the vibrate "spinner" is terrible. It "buzzes" more than vibrates. It sounds like it rattles around. I should be getting ANOTHER replacement in the mail today. I would much rather have sunken buttons than a buzzing vibrate.

I saw a thread regarding sunken buttons in XDA. I guess that this is a known issue and reps are handing out replacements without a hassle because if it.

Download No Lock and Screen Off And Lock. No Lock will disable
The HTC Sense lock screen and allow you to use the volume
Rocker to unlock.The Screen Off and Lock allows you
Add a shortcut on the screen or dock. You just click on the
Icon to shut the screen off.

I don't think refurbs are being sent as replacements yet. Because the device has only been out one month I think they are shipping brand new replacements. Further, if I decide to replace it I will DEMAND a brand new one. I didn't buy a refurbished unit. I paid top dollar for a brand new one and after a month it already has a problem that is now widely acknowledged.
