Help Suggest a music player that can edit id3 tags

I'm looking for a music player that can edit mp3 meta data internally. I'm using the trial version of Power Player now, and love that feature. Before I buy it when the trial runs out, are there any others you guys can suggest? Don't like doing it through a separate app.
Much appreciated!

I think MixZing will update album art. If that is what you are looking for.

Thanks, but no... not talking about cover art.

Talking about the id3 tags that contain title/artist/album name/release date, etc.
Sometimes I end up with some with bad/missing info and out makes them screwy to organize.

Got so used to doing it with Winamp in windows, an I miss the feature in Android.

Just don't want to jump the gun and buy Power Player if there are others worth trying first.

mp3tag is a freeware app for windows.

its SO MUCH better to do mp3 tags in bulk folder by folder. I spent only an hour and did many, many gigs of music, more than half my entire collection. then just transfered to my phone.

i would HATE to do this on the phone itself...

Well, me too.
I make sure my tags are correct when I rip, but unfortunately some of my friends are not so particular.
If I had to do it in bulk, I'd definitely do that, but the occasional 4 or 5 files ain't so bad and it's a quick fix to be able to make a small edit on the phone while you're looking at it.

So it sounds like it's between Power Amp and Power Player.
I tested Power Amp trial so long ago I don't remember much about it.
I do know that I don't like the interface of PP.
I did like Winamps interface, but it was pretty limited in functionality..

genius idea for an app!

you select a folder, manually tell the app what band or album its supposed to be, it assigns the correct tag info based on track length. also pulls album art.

all you developers, get to work!! thats an idea right there!

thats one of the few apps id pay to have.

Doesn't seem like it would be that hard, judging by the way some of the apps work for ID3 currently.

Well I've tried EVERY id3 editor in the market... A well as the"all in one" player and editors... before you go buying power amp PLEASE try Itag and miui player... The player is perfection and the editor is tailored for audiophiles with OCD... They are both free so give em a shot

Thanks for all the replies, everyone.
If someone in this forum doesn't know it, it ain't known. :D

I don't like using a stand alone id3 editor... it's just too aggravating to swap back and forth between a tag editor and music player to double-check my results. It's nice to see updated list results in the library immediately.

Apparently the only music players that can edit id3 info internally are PlayerPro and Power Amp. The only thing that had me leaning towards Power Amp was the 10-band eq. Found that Playerpro has an add on for that.

I like that Playerpro let's you edit all songs in an album, regardless of folder, all at once.
If Power Amp can do that, I couldn't figure out where.

So I bought Playerpro... sorry Power Amp guys.

Thanks again to all that took the time to post.

Looks real nice. Would be great for someone who didn't want to pop for a paid, full featured player with a built-in editor... which was actually my preference.

Maybe Winamp will buy it from you! :D
Would make a nice addition for them. I'd have purchased Winamp (rather than PlayerPro), had they had that capability.

Altea.. I like your app but there's a couple suggestions I have... I have 500+ songs... Without being able to see the covers on the main list I can't tell which songs need covers... And also can I download covers our do I have to get them somewhere else?

Try FreeRIP from Cnet.com Downloads. It will convert the file format of your music, the Id Tags, and much more. Check it out! ( I also use Winamp as a player on my phone. No having to convert my music to mp3's. I have 9.7 GB of classic rock! Too much work!)
