Help suggestions for broken android?

I just dropped my Motorola android RAZR-M and cracked the screen just slightly on the top two corners - one crack (the left side one) goes all the way down to the bottom; some buttons still work (like my unlock pattern and buttons on the home screen) however the main "back","home", and "recently used apps" buttons on the very bottom are not responding to touch, and my keyboard will not pop up when I am inside of a text and my cursor is put onto the 'compose' area. I also cannot pull down the notification screen. This really makes my phone useless because whenever I get into a new screen, I cannot go back, or to home, or settings.

I am wondering if you guys think that this malfunction is just because of the screen crack? Or if it caused by something else inside that got shaken up.

Also, if it is just the screen - should I be able to repair it myself? (I have done multiple apple product repairs before)

Or should I sent it off? And if so are there recommended repair companies?

Thank you all.

did you have insurance on the device?

if so call it in to asurion so that you can get a replacement, these things happen, and yes it is a result from the fall.
it is always a good idea to have insurance on these devices as accidents do happen.

I don't know how easy it is to replace the screen or if you can even get the part. Your only option seems to replace it.
