Root suggestions plz

today after unrooting and putting fone bk to stock,asurion sent me a paid in full bill to exchange the replacement fone i got april this year,i took that paper and the phone,metro updated it wiped everything off my fone,i explained to the lady ive done all that already,she said she doesnt understand why asurion is wanting metro to exchange my fone,wen asusrion was the one who replaced it,well i left the store with the same fone,then i called asurion and explained what metro said,asurion said they was going to send the same paper again for me to take bck to the metro store,i stated i just got home with dealing with metro,so asurion finally said we will ship you a new fone,be here on monday,but the catch is they dont have any esteems in stock that they are going to send me a lg connect 4g lol,should i take the connect or pass? and metro said that there is a zvg update to fix the bugs but they dont have it,the manufacture has it(lg),well in the store i used my nexus to live chat with lg,they said the newest update is zve,they dnt have a zvg that it would come from metro,metro said it would come from lg,so wat the hell is going on,anybody have any suggestions about the lg connect or tell them forget it and keep the esteem,i dont know much bout the connect,plz any input would be helpful ty :confused:
 
Asurion sent you to metro bcz they don't have the esteem as you stated they said and therefore were sending you the connect. That paper they gave you to take to metro was a purchase receipt, meaning they bought a replacement from metro, not from a specific store but from the company itself, and is sending you to pick it up (exchange it). Whoever helped you at the corporate office has no clue or may be new. I say go back, deal with a manager or someone familiar with the process.

As far as taking the connect, I'd go to the connect section here and see how much "action" (roms and such) is there before making a decision.
 
Well they doing this cause the esteem has been discontinued but til they get the problems fixed they are going to say they don't have in stock . As my boy working in a corporate store say that the esteem do fall low on stock it can take up to a week to restore .so try back next week but wait til management is in the store cause if they are short on stock they can tell you what day to come in or send you to a store he deals with.
 
i did and i wasnt thrilled with wats going on over there,but ill prob go to another corp store n mayb gt my esteem bk,im so use to it n hate startn over wit a new fone,u kno
 
It depends on how you use it. For me, screen size and HDMI out are a priority.

But that's how mine gets used. Old eyes! Lol
 
well its alil smaller but the dual core has me hung,bt ive read about the dual cores n pep hav there opinions,the fone is in route so i hav till monday to decide,the connect forum doesnt look to be popping like here,plus my buddies are over here lol,id b lost over there lol
 
yea they want to gve me the lg connect since they dnt hav a esteem on hand,but i think i might send it bk,and keep tryn diff metro stores until i find a esteem or atleast gve me something close to wat i paid,you no bout $400 and then u wanna gve me a 2?? dollar fone that is even discountinued,now come on,wat happens wen it misses up?
 
I have both phones at my house, the connect is much faster system performance. Camera on our esteem is better and of course the screen size is unmatchable. Speaker volume on the connect is better, and a quick note on my first comment - once customized to a rom on esteem it matches with the connects system performance. Also the price difference is unmatchable, but you also have no problems going on with the connect at the moment vs esteem having all kinds of issues left and right. Best phone in my opinion to use, the one that turns me on the most has to be the esteem by a mile, 3.5in just don't do me justice.
