New owner of a smartphone. And since I didn't want to bother and go the expensive route for my first one. I went and bought the LG Motion from Metro. So far this phone is pretty nice, a lot like my friend's iphone. Does what I want it to. I heard of this "rooting" is this difficult to do? I've hacked PSPs before (installing custom firmware so they can run emulators and games isos) is this the same or more risky? Btw this is a nice forum, very detailed and organized.

Welcome to Android Forums flyingcloud11. Congrats on getting your first smart phone. Rooting is not for everyone but many enjoy the benefits. We do have a discussion area for your phone as well as a root section. You will want to check out both areas and do some reading. Ask questions if you have them. The decision is entirely yours.
