Super Backup app does not recognise backup folder to restore from

I backed up all my data using SuperBackup saved to external SD card before I downgraded to Android 4.1.2 but now when I try to set path to the the backup folder in Super Backup, the option to "Set this folder" is grayed out unless I choose a folder on the phone itself.
Any way I can restore my contacts, etc?

Im not familiar with the app but have you tried using a file explorer app to move the data back to the internal (phone) storage?

Like funky never used the app. But you may need to see if the card is mounted. if it is then the file explorer option funky mentions is your best bet if not then you need to reboot and see if it mounts if not then it could be a ROM issue.

Yeah, I tried all that, and most of the files I tried to copy back to phone threw an error message about being out of limits. Yet, miraculously, this morning when I attempted to restore once again, the contacts restore option displayed a vcf file containing all 2,000 of my contacts and managed to restore it just fine.
