Super bright screen in 2.2?

Hi.
This is something that I did not notice until the temperatures started rising, and the sun started being out & a little brighter.

When we were on 2.1, there was an automatic brightness setting. I preferred it as it would switch to a 'super bright' mode if i was in direct sunlight. This was a visible change, not just from the brightness aspect, but from the contrast as well.

Now that we are on 2.2... this feature either isn't enabled or doesn't work.

Can anyone help me bring this back if possible.

It's still there on mine. Just go to menu - settings - display settings - brightness and select auto.

Yes, mine is set on auto... however its still not kicking up. It adjusts normally, but will not kick up as bright as it once would.
