The Nexus is plenty thin, I'm willing to add a bit more bulk im exchange for battery life i don't have to worry about several times a day. Anyone know where i can get a serious battery yet? Not just the Verizon one with 20% more, but something like 3000-4000 mAh. I want to be able to video chat, play N64 games and stream netflix over 4g without my phone shutting off within 2 hours.

lol what do you want a car battery? the not so extended battery is fine to me

You said it yourself, it's not much of an extended battery; which is why some people like the huge batteries that have double capacity.

OP you are probably gonna have to wait awhile for the huge batteries to come out (seidio is usually one of the first ones and they don't have one yet).

It's kind of weird, but I notice I actually get more time out of the standard battery than the extended battery. I don't know if it's not having gone through enough charge/discharge cycles (which these batteries allegedly don't need) or whether the extended battery I got isn't up to spec.

Do you have wi-fi turned on? There is another thread suggesting that battery life lasts longer with it on (even if you don't have a wi-fi network). My own experience bears it out. Seems to work :D

I picked up the For your electronic accessories needs: batteries, AC adapters, etc. 10000maH pack as my backup, especially for long car rides (4000 miles/month for work) since car chargers give me awful feedback through the speakers due to an open ground loop (I use AUX in) and the cord run is a PITA. I have it velcro'd to my dash and/or visor and use a 1.5' microUSB cable you can pick up from HDMI Cable, Home Theater Accessories, HDMI Products, Cables, Adapters, Video/Audio Switch, Networking, USB, Firewire, Printer Toner, and more! and costs about $1.00. It's not pretty but until Samsung can get their act together and release the GSM-version car mount, it'll have to do.

Shame that it wouldn't have an NFC antenna. Kinda a deal breaker really.

I'm really not sure why they're foregoing the cheap little NFC antenna. It's not like it's a huge addition.

Sounds like corner-cutting to me.

I'm right there with you... goldeneye!!!!

I am considering an external battery pack, there are quite a few available. I'd like to have one for travel. I am considering the 5600mAh by Anker. That plus the OEM battery should last about 3 movies for flights and travel.
