Root super user with no root access

ok so after looking around i used one of the xperia ics 4.0.4 methods to root my phone because none of the zte methods would do it.

after it was all done i got super user but used root checker and i dont have root acess, its updated to 3.2 so i dont know whats wrong.

tried rooting again and didnt work

a few days ago junkie posted this file though i forgot what was called but it gave options to root, un root, flash recovery ect.
i tried the rooting option and it got stuck at a part where it said pushing busy box, 5 mins passed so i unplugged it

after all that it was jacked up super slow untill i did a factory data reset but not su is still here and i have no root access

How do i root this thing?!?!?
or flash cwm recovery unrooted???

well, i dunno how root checker actually checks things, so maybe its just wrong? have you actually tried using root access? and the thing i posted is the exact same thing that the xperia tool is, so i dunno what that was about. some things root doesnt agree with on this phone for whatever reason, like rom manager it has issues with root on here... did you actually attempt to flash cwm? it might actually work
try using my tool to install cwm, if that doesnt work then we can look into other options

and a sure sign that its not working with the superuser program is if the prompt to ask to allow root permissions

yeah i tried so many apps, none worked
tried using rom manager to flash recovery and it says error trying to flash recovery
super user prompt never pops up either

what do i do if it gets stuck on something for a while? liks pushing busy box when i try to root.

first ill try flashing using your tool and telling you the results

yea rom manager doesnt pop up the prompt. that is the problem, it doesnt ask for root permissions properly. so it doesnt normally work on our phones. youll have to use my tool or a manual install method
sadly i dont know why things wouldnt be working... why it would install some of it but not all of it, and why it would actually seem like it went through all the steps

as far as getting stuck, it can be your only option, but it can also be risky, there is a part of this root procedure that makes your phone restart into a semi soft bricked mode, mind you as far as i can tell it should kick out of it if you do a factory reset in recovery but its a risk

and hopefully my tool works but i cant make any promises, if it tells you that it cant find su then you didnt get the main component of the rooting, if it doesnt tell you that then it should all be there and there is no reason at all it shouldnt work

ok so ive failed again

it rebooted like you sad then gets stuck on pushing busybox(10 mins+) and once that happens i notice the wallpaper moves to the right like it glitched or something( i tried three times)

so after that i unplugged then plugged back in did the disable enable usb deugging and it does all this not found stuff shows some errors than ends with press any key to continue

after its all done my phone runs super slow and studdery like its moving at like 5 -12 frames per second.

got scared but i factory data reseted and everything was normal again i still have super user and no root acces. tried going in terminal emulator to type in "su" but it didnt work says something like acces denied
and i cant flash a recovery with your tool or terminal emulator or rom manager T_T

has anyone else had any prolem like this????
i know i have everything set up in my phone rite and drivers and stuff in my computer

it would seem as thought the root process didnt work right in the first place, when you run the program the phone should restart three times during the process, itll reboot twice before installing busybox, make sure it does that, if not then something is going horribly wrong. and it may work better after a factory reset just fyi

You mean as in hard reset then attempt to root?

T_T well of course somethings wrong I just don't know what it is

right, how many times it actually restarts might tell what that something is... and yes i mean hard reset then attempt to root though there are no guarantees that will even work

right, try doing a full factory reset then doing it, i dunno why it wouldnt work unless there just isnt enough room on the device for it, or if you didnt actually extract the zip files, if you just run the program from inside the zip that could cause issues, also it can cause a problem depending on where you put it, if its buried too deep in the computers file system it may not be able to find the files it needs. try making a folder for it directly on the c drive, then running it from there from a fresh wipe, that is the only real advice i can give at this point because if its getting past checking the phones connection it should be working

alright i did exactly what you said. though my phone rebooted once got stuck of pushing busy box. as soon as it said pushing busy box my wallpaper glitches and it will stay there.

the only problem i may see is it being my computer or updating the zte software a few months ago when i got a message saying new zte software update.

the update shouldnt be the problem, ive never heard of anyone having trouble rooting b09 using the same method... maybe the other tools you tried broke something like the tmp directory, and you could try the fastboot method of installing recovery if you can get into the bootloader that should help you. there are instructions on how to do that, youll have to go to command prompt and use adb to reboot into bootloader mode. i wont go through the entire explaination here, i figure if you cant find it im gonna make an attempt to add that to my AIO tool. check my clockworkmod thread for the details to do it manually though

have i mentioned that i hate C++? kuz i do... but i finally figured out radio buttons, i now have the ability to modify the AIO tool to use alternative methods. ill finish updating it and upload it, then post on my AIO tool thread to let you know its ready

np, and its been able to do fastboot mode for a while now, just get the c++ edition and itll give you a choice between terminal or fastboot, fastboot method may work without having to be rooted though i cant make any promises. but if it does work, then youll be able to just flash a pre rooted rom and you wont have this issue anymore

did it restart into the black screen with the android guy? if so then you may just not have the fastboot drivers properly installed

yes it did. and at the end it said process took too long check your drivers.

please tell me how to properly install those

well youre gonna have to use the same method that would be used to manually force the adb drivers, go to the device manager, find the zte connection, might be under android might be under ports, then youll have to choose the drivers to install yourself, not sure exactly which one it was, so youll just have to go with the trial and error method, but it will be one of the drivers in the "C:\Program Files\ZTE 3GPhone USB Driver\Drivers\" directory, either choosing the 64 or 32bit folder depending on whether youre running 64 or 32bit windows

ok let me try this again, this is all i can really get with my internet the way it is but hopefully itll do. start with the first page and when you get to the last picture instead of hitting browse hit let me pick. then follow the second tutorial from there till you get to the end and instead of just picking one from there try using the have disk button then in the browse window that pops up going to the folder i mentioned in the previous post and selecting any of the files it wont matter which one. just make sure you go to the correct folder based on whether you are running 64 or 32 bit windows and you can pick anything in there it will let you select. then from the list i believe its the kernel debug driver though it could be any of them so use the process of elimination, try one, it doesnt work try another, and so on. also the device manager may have it listed under android, might have it listed under ports, im not sure really, so an easy way to tell is to unplug it and see what disappears or plug it in and see what appears, it has to be in bootloader mode while youre doing all this though, that green android guy on the black background

How To Install Hardware Or Device Drivers Manually In Windows 7 / Vista

Windows 7 Driver Update Override - Super User

one last update on the situation. once cwm is back on there, you should be able to use one of the root methods from here. they are cwm flashable zips, universal, and made for ics

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746794

flash it as if you were flashing a rom in cwm and it should root it for you. may even work on the jb update if and when we ever get it

and if you cant figure out which attachment to download, i recommend the
Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox_1.20.2-Update1-signed.zip

is there anyay i can just you cmd to flash that zip file on my phone, because what you said didnt work. i couldnt even find a 32bit or the drivers inside the driver folder

ok well its been a while since i ever used android emulator.

so i typed in "busybox" and it gave me a giant list of things.

though when i types "su" it says segmenation fault.

so what is it that i really have wrong here
