Download this Free Download Magic Partition Manager Software - Partition Wizard Online

, take your tf card & fit it in your windows computer via an adapter if you need it, run the software on your pc. Delete the existing partition (you will lose all the data on it!) and create two new primarypartitions, the first one being FAT32 and the second either FAT32 or EXT2/3. ENSURE YOU HAVE SELECTED THE TF CARD and not your windows hdd!! The sizes are not that important,1GB is a huge amount of space to hold application files!! Once finished stick the tf back into the FT3 and re-run Link2SD..follow the prompts..the menu gives access to 'auto-link on installation' option

i have done what you said and have now got 2 partition put link2sd on and it now tells me mount script cannot be created mount invalid argument please help help help

I have a Superpad 3 with an 8 gb internal card. I use tim 5a. Is there any way to install applications on the card because i can use just 1 GB to install applications ? Thank you!

Hey .. thanks Shane .. Yes I too am in IT .. and don't do manuals LOL .. have been doing this stuff for about 28 years.. I've rooted a few cellphones .. hack a few computers .. etc.. but haven't played with one of these before .. not an issue to do it. just more of an issue to make sure i'm using the Right one!! and with so little info on these I'm kinda waiting to see who finds out what LOL .. thanks for the info.. which do you recommend as the easiest to use/do ? Z4ROOT or TIM 3a ROM ?
Thanks

have a question for you, please if you can help me, my superpad after a freeze, does not recognize my usb ports, neither the micro sd, I have reset it, but still does not read these ports, do you have any idea how to recover them, many thanks in advance, greetings from argentin

Did you make two primary partitions?

The first should be FAT32
The second can be FAT32, EXT2 or EXT3

When you start Link2SD it asks you what type of format the second partition is, did you select the correct type?

yes i have tried both being fat32 and one fat32 the other ext2 and when i click link2sd i put in the right format for the second partition and it tells memount script cannot be created mount invalid argument is there suppost to be anything on the 2 partitions am i doing something wrong

No...nothing need be on either partitions..except the format!..are they both primary partitions?...you didn't say. minitool is formatting the media without errors isn't it?

Have you tested the tf card to ensure it is the capacity it claims to be?... use h2testw.exe on your PC

You are putting the twin partitioned tf card in the external tf slot, not a USB slot? Ensure the card is being mounted ok in the notification bar during the tablets boot sequence. Ensure you can access the first partition from root explorer/my pad/any file manager..... that's about all I can think of.... anybody else help??

i also wanted to try link2sd. what i did was using minitool partition wizard home edition to partition my 16gb microsd into partition 1 - 13.85GB FAT32 and partition 2 - 996.19MB FAT32. Make both partition primary. then insert into my sp3. 1st its preparing memory device then memory device save to remove next its ! Damage memory device....

What is wrong with my process? I've even tried making 2nd partition ext2 but still same. Please help!

I think i know my problem its that i've a faulty card reader...duh me

This New Trent ifuel IMP500 5000mAh External Battery pack and Charger seems like a good emergency outdoor battery for our SP3/FT3/FT2/etc if there isn't a power point. My 2 cents.

Amazon.com: New Trent ifuel IMP500 5000mAh External Battery pack and Charger for Apple iPhone 4 4G 3Gs 3G (AT&T and verizon), iPod Touch (1G 2G 3G 4G), Motorola Droid, HTC Android EVO, Blackberry, Kindle DX, Samsung EPIC, Samsung Galaxy Tablet, Samsu

Just one fly in the ointment....

The specs quote 5000mAh.. that is almost certainly the capacity of the internal Li-Po battery, not the current supply capability of this device. It is designed to charge phones - not tablets, that requires less current than the FT3's require to charge due to the lower capacity of the phones batteries.

It *may* be fine and work well, but if the current supply is regulated to 1 amp or less it wont charge the FT3 as per those people who tried charging from a 1Amp car charger. I couldn't find any further specs on this device. Anybody want to venture $42 to find out?

HEEEELP!!!
I reflash my Superpad 3 that was 4GB NAND 512MB Ram 1Ghz ARM11 with two TF
and now i can't see the internal 4gb nand storage, I cant download nothing.
Also when im opening the Gallery i have a message "SD full"
is there any solution??
Do i have to flash a custom ramdisk.img with IUW program??
I found a custom ramdisk.img that the Pad can regognize the TF1 as local but i want to make it as before.
Please if anyone know anythink!!!!!!
HELPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!

stupid question here ... I inadvertently uninstalled Gscript Lite not realising it controlled the Shutdown & Reboot icons that were installed after TIM 3a ROM (yes I know, major DOH!), I've reinstalled Gscript Lite, but can anybody tell me how to recreate those 2 scripts/icons again please?

OK, I found the answer to my own question on another forum. So now I've created the scripts but can't work out how to create an icon/shortcut to them, so would appreciate it if somebody can help me with that please?

Long press on a vacant bit of screen
Shortcut
scroll down to Gscript lite
select the script you want
click ok

simples!

Hi guys,

sorry to say yet another newbie here. bought what was advertised as flytouch 3 / superpad 3 off good old ebay only to see when box arrived it seems to say superpai III on it - had to laugh a little. bless our oriental friends and their pigeon english.

I not overly bothered though to be honest, although was looking to flash to the newer stuff from Tim mainly for additional 3G dongle support.

everything esle seems to work ok although as I don't have wireless I can't say I've totally checked it out yet and could be walking into a mine field when I do get it connected, who knows?

anyway, specs are, according to the system info:

Mode: DISCO10
Android: 2.2-20110229
Kernel: 2.6.32.9 zjd@dtlinuxserver #1
Build: FRF85B
memory: 8G NAND

hoping its just some dishonest chinese fellow selling superpad 2s with additional memory as superpad 3s and that I will be able to flash. battery life on it seems fairly good, although i guess turning wifi on will trim it down a bit, charging light is green if that makes any difference.

I take it there is a risk if I do flash and it goes wrong I brick it. is there any way to insure against this, like backup the current system in anyway?

the more I read the more I believe it should be possible. fingers crossed!

sorry for being a newbie!

cheers guys and gals for a really helpful form, been reading loads!

Ben

The information you provided match my facepad's system information except I have a disco instead disco10 model since mine is a facepad. So I am guessing you can update to Tim's Rom as easily as I did.

Before venturing into 5000mAh i've tried my Solar King solar charger which lying around for 2-3 years old but seldom use.

Solar Charger products, buy Solar Charger products from alibaba.com

Its relatively small 700mAh compared to 5000mAh which i give it a try and see how much juice my SP3 can suck out from this solar charger. I power off the pad and start charging it when the pad is flat. I didn't know how long it took to drain all of the solar charger power but it manage to charge the pad till 35% battery indicator shows (tim 4d2 rom) and i was on full brightness, wifi on and surfing the net then later play games. It took about 18 minutes before the pad runs flat again.

So if 5000mAh can be use then probably it should be able power the pad at least 6-7 times the charger of my solar charger which give about 108-126 minutes of battery life for emergency usage...not bad ^_^

You would do much better if you started off using the Solar Charger when the tablet was fully charged.

That way, if the Solar Charger can't quite provide all the 'juice' required to drive the tablet the battery will be able to fill the shortfall. As most of the power is coming from the Solar Charger the battery life will be greatly extended.

If you try it the other way round you are relying on the Solar Charger being able to power the tablet completely [and charge the battery at the same time] which, as it seems to draw between 1A and 1.5A this is highly unlikely. This is the reason most people have problems with most of the 5V car chargers from eBay, they only supply 1A. Mine supplies 1.5A @ 5V and works fine.

I received my new flytouch 3 today and have exactly the same specification as you:

Unluckily Wifi doesn't work for me either. It just switches between:
Connecting...
Disconnected...
Scanning...

Over and over again...but it doesn't get connected.
Wired connection works fine but not wireless.

There is nothing wrong with my Wifi network or settings since my Andriod phone and all other devices connects with out any problem. I also tried the network in "open mode" with no security but no luck.
I read that antenna is poor on this device, so I also moved the pad very close to the wireless router (1 m).

I've restarted it several times.
I also tried other wireless networks but it connects and disconnects there too.

The WIFI-button on the side of the pad is turned on when I troubleshot this.

Any advice, tips and tricks is very much appreciated.

If the physical wifi switch is on and the wifi selection box is ticked the wifi is on. If it cant hear any closeby signals in that state it is stuffed I'm afraid. You could try an external USB wifi dongle, any with a RT3070 chipset should work, Edimax EW-7711UAN for example, plug it in, switch the physical wifi switch off, switch the tablet on and select wifi enabled.....

I also updated it to firmware - Tim5a: http://public.timduru.org/Android/Flytouch3/

But still Wifi doesn't work (Yes, physical switch is on and wifi selection box is [of course] ticked.)
Maybe I will try an external USB dongle - not sure.
Thanks for trying to help me.
