Root Superuser Issues

One thing to note - the first time I booted into recovery mode the text was red - this time the text was normal (green)

Ok I just flashed your ver and then tried the update - still getting a fail but its working. The fail came this time at remounting.

Ok on that test is said superuser. Im going to flash one more time. Then Im not going to touch superuser again and only use supersu. They both seem to have apps logged in them. I want supersu to be my root giver.

While Im waiting for reboot. I have another topic regarding the upgrade I did to my wifes phone last night. She lost all of her sms text messages and some contacts as well as some apps. I upgraded her from the stock rom all the way to Infused v2.2.3 and it went flawless until we found the missing things. Any input on that?

Did you do a nandroid backup before you flashed the new roms?

I have titanium on my Infuse but I did a rom manager backup on hers before doing the upgrade.

Try appextractor in the market. You can pull sms/mms messages, apps, and data out of the nandroid backup. I think this can be done with the free version too (just limited to a couple apps at a time).

Ok I got it looking to supersu now and not superuser. I will leave superuser alone. I also started using Voltage Control today for CPU as someone said they were able to overclock to 1600mhz with that but I dont see that option. Im running Infused v2.2.3 as well.

That would be awesome! My wife would be so happy. I want to really thank you for all your help today. I been in computers for 35 years but only been tinkering with cell phones for a short time.

You are more than welcome. We were all new at this at one time and someone took the time to answer our questions, so we are just paying it forward.:)

Well thought this was all worked out however it seems to on its own switched back to superuser and it still cant update the su binary. To me its almost like a permission problem on /system/bin.

I tried using a freezing program but superuser is not listed but it did list supersu. Now what seems to be happening is that both apps keep fighting to be the primary. Neither seem to be able to update the su binary though. I welcome any ideas as I cant freeze superuser it would seem.
